Schools across the world are looking at ways to deepen their curriculum to meet the needs of our 21st century learners and prepare them for the future. Dr. Lynn Erickson has worked over the past 20 years with national and international schools in researching and developing curriculum and instruction strategies to help promote deeper understanding and align curriculum standards in order to move from, what she has called, a 2D model of curriculum instruction (focus on knowledge and skills only) to a 3D model which includes conceptual understanding. This workshop will highlight Erickson's key elements in order to help support you to look at your curriculum and teaching from a conceptual lens.
Anya Dalais is the IBPYP curriculum coordinator at Chadwick International and a Lynn Erickson Concept-based curriculum & instruction workshop leader. She has been an international school educator for 20 years.
