We will look at specific ways the Korean culture and language affect Korean ELLs while considering specific tips to better teach these students and set up a classroom that will meet their needs. The presentation also focuses on respecting our students' culture by learning more about it.

Chris Bracciano has been a social studies educator for twelve years with stints in Michigan, NYC, and abroad. With seven of those years spent in South Korea and ten years spent studying the language, he has developed specific techniques that work best for English language learners coming from the Korean culture. Chris currently teaches AP Macroeconomics and AP Psychology while also leading the Social Studies Department at Korea International School Jeju.
