Sheri Gates has been a teacher in international schools for 20 years. She has taught the Diploma program in Biology and Chemistry and ESS and has also taught the MYP program in grades 6-9. The model she will be using in this workshop comes from Dr. Lillian McDermott and the Physics Education Group at the University of Washington. Sheri has been working with this program for the past 6 years and has been focused on broadening the scope of this model so that it can be used in younger year groups and also in non-physics sciences.
